Here is an article I wrote in end of January…much before Google announced their recent update on changing their search algorithm for web sites which will give priority to mobile ready responsive web sites.
Mobile Traffic has increased significantly and it is hard to ignore the fact that strong sales of mobile devices are supporting this trend in upward direction. Apple just released the last quarter results with record breaking sales in a single quarter by any company ever. Apple iOS devices sales contributes 80% of total Apple product sales which clearly a sign that mobile is the medium for communication.
With all the facts, signs and results coming out of mobile devices sales and mobile traffic, we are still not paying attention to the content runs on mobile devices. Web sites are still struggling to be ready for the mobile devices and specially when companies spending money running social media campaigns which direct audience to go to their web sites and end up a bad web site experience since they are not mobile ready web sites.
Converting a web site to mobile friendly user interface is not as complicate as it looks. This is a great opportunity for a company/brand/organisation to refresh their look and re-launch their web site while keeping in mind that mobile will be the first medium audience will use to access their web site.
There are many factors but few key components to have an effective mobile ready web site includes:
– Clean and Intuitive user interface always engage the audience
– Finding the right company to deliver the goal? (Invest the money to get the right results)
– There is no short cut to a great web site so pay enough attention to build a great experience
– Think outside the box ideas to stand out among other web sites
– Keep the regular updates with fresh content
Good Luck and let’s not waste anymore time to have your web site mobile ready.
